KAPTalks with Seema Jaychandran on economic progress and gender gaps
24th May 14:30 CET / 12:30 GMT.

Join LIVE our #KAPTalks with Seema Jaychandran.

You can participate either onsite at the University of Barcelona or online via Zoom.

Gender gaps that disadvantage women and girls – in employment, education, health, and more – tend to be bigger in lower-income countries than in higher-income countries. This lecture will discuss why economic progress often helps bring about more gender equality, and, conversely, why gender inequality slows economic progress. It will also discuss some exceptions to the rule that economic development brings about gender equality – and how public policy can help alleviate this tension.

The event will be hybrid. You can either come to the University of Barcelona or connect online via Zoom.

Address: Aula Magna, University of Barcelona School of Economics: Avinguda Diagonal 690, 08034 Barcelona.

The lecture is hosted by the University of Barcelona School of Economics.

Once logged in to the webinar you will have an opportunity to pose a text questions to Seema Jaychandran.
